Appleton church of Christ is not so much a name, as it is a description. We are a group of people meeting to worship God on Newberry Street in Appleton, Wisconsin. We are a congregation of people who belong to Christ. Each of us recognized the sins in his or her life and came to God for salvation as the Bible instructs. We do not use creeds, teachings of men or revelation newer than the Holy Bible. We are simply Christians following the teachings of Jesus, His apostles, and prophets found in the New Testament. It is our commitment to live by these teachings to the best of our ability.

A number of good things are in store for tomorrow's church gatherings, if the Lord wills, but one has to be the Five Brothers' Commentaries at the evening meeting at 6:00. These are always so edifying. And so here is hoping you will be a part of it.

Tomorrow morning’s adult class is: Lessons from Leviticus. It is at 9:30. At 10:30 the communion talk is Titled: Who Is Barabbas? And then at 6:00p.m. The discourse is: “Why Has Thou Forsaken Me?” There are children’s classes for all ages at 9:30. There will be worship in singing, praying and the Lord’s Supper. And an opportunity to give to the Lord. Everyone is welcome.

The Bible paints a picture of baptism differently than many do today. If you are desiring to be baptized as God says in His word, please contact us at your earliest opportunity. We have no special "Baptism Sunday" for there was no such thing in the Bible. People were baptized on whatever day they believed in Christ and wanted to be saved. -- We have no preparatory classes you need to take before being ready to be baptized, for there were no such things in the Bible. Some folks were baptized the same hour they first ever heard about Jesus. -- We have no sprinkling baptisms for there were no such things in the Bible. Baptism in water is immersion. -- We have no need for an audience to have a baptism, for in the Bible there was no need. You may have others witness it, but it is not necessary. Some folks in the Bible were baptized in deserted places. -- If you believe with all your heart that Jesus is the Christ, who died on the cross to save you from your sins, then please be baptized today. And be baptized properly, if your previous baptism was in the wrong way or for the wrong purpose.

Our much anticipated weekend of preaching is under way now. A fabulous start last night, and now two this afternoon...at 3:00 and 4:00.
